What is your current video card or driver?
Well your problem must be related to the screen resolution...trying to enlarge an image? I doubt it must be related to the image (like sharpness or brightness, etc.) So I guess it must be with the size... Well, you can setup another video card for output

To change your videocard driver (I'll assume you either have an ati or nvidia card since your gaming) start with going to their website http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us for nvidia cards and http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html for ati cards and select the card and download the driver. It'll prompt you to prolly uninstall your old one first then restart and then you should re-run the downloaded file to install the new driver.
