Default Panasonic Plasma

Does anyone here have a Panasonic Plasma Tv? I'm considering the 50PZ800U, the specs look great and the reviews have been very good on these too. The price is not too bad on these. I can't wait to play movies from my computer thru this TV.

Ye honestly the gap between plasma and lcd is so narrow now i would go with lcd. About a month back you could have got a 1080p plasma 50" for under 1200. The one you mentioned is about 1500$ now.

I choose LCD all the time. My grandparents bouoght a plasma panasonic with suppposed built in protection against burn in but guess what - those lines on the sides of the tv? They burned in! I'm sure just a pixel re-adjustment would fix it but frankly ii'd rather just get the lcdd and save the hassle.

depends on what u gonna use it for.

plasma- for darker setups, where u aren't going to have any frozen images on screen as they burn in easy.

the rule of thumb is generally 42" and under, LCD gives the same picture as plasma for cheaper and has broader uses. over 42" Plasma outcompetes LCD as LCD starts its drop off.

Also plasmas generally have a max shelf life of 5 years. LCDs have longer life and when they go out, its usually just the backlight and is fairly routine to replace. plasmas don't have luxury.

I have a 50" plasma and I love it, its 1080p and 600z, you cant ask for more in terms of true to life color accuracy and crispness.
