Asustek Computer plans to bring Wii-like wireless gaming to PCs with the Eee Stick, two controllers that use motion sensors so people can bowl, slash swords, and play other games on a PC.

Initially, Asustek plans to bundle the controllers with its popular Eee PC low-cost laptops and the desktop Eee Box and will be available in mid-August. Next year, the Eee Sticks will be sold in packs with five to eight games they can be used with for around US$66 to $82.

I saw a similar motion feature on the Toshiba Qosmio that just came out. It was compared to Wii, but seemed to focus mostly on media playback features and general web browsing. The reviews were not very good, but I would think motion sensors would be more effective for gaming than for media playback.

Is the EEE Stick supposed to directly compete with Wii? Is Asus developing the games to go with it?

i think vicious on notebookreview.com was able to actually use his wii remote on his laptop (through bluetooth), just go search up his guide on how to do it.

The screen on the EEE is way too small for a motion controller. Eee PC might as well just goto a touch screen. Or maybe if their motion controller is the size of a pen that might work, but I think this motion control business is still just a novelty.

You can get gesture control with no special hardware required, just a webcam.
